If you're a keen clay shooter and want to progress to shooting registered competitions you need to be a member of the CPSA. There insurance will also cover you for the odd foray on the crows and pigeon. BASC membership will give you the cover you need to shoot in the field but you will also need to join the CPSA to progress with your clay shooting. Therefore, if you're mainly shooting clays CPSA is the way to go. It'll give you the cover you need.

Clubmans fine, will give you the same cover as full membership, and you can upgrade to full when you feel ready
