harveykeitel22 Posted May 18, 2009 Report Share Posted May 18, 2009 hey guys, i really need some advice on getting the best foxing rifle without spending huge amounts of money. i know u can spend upto £1000 or more on getting set up, but i dont really wanna be spending £1000 + on big rifles and scopes, cos it aint worth it ,on the size of the shoot ive got my permission on,plus i wouldnt be using it a great deal. CharlieT Posted May 18, 2009 Report Share Posted May 18, 2009 A nice second hand .223 should fit the bill, something like a Howa, Tikka T3 or Remington which you should be able tp pick up for about £400. Add a MTC scope for £200 max and your sorted. I would probably go for the Howa or Tikka as they will require no feting to get them to shoot straight. Budget Remington's will require a replacement trigger group and possibly a replacement stock. However if you can find a s/h Remington that has been worked on that would be just the job.
