hello mate try PHILLIP WEBSTER GUNSMITH 01953 455687 and mob 07828 170271 just bought a rifle and sight off him nice lad easy to deal with and knows what hes talking about cheers

Sorry to butt in but that's good to hear... off to see him tomorrow as he has some Edgar's in that a mate wants to look at and I just bought a Hawke Varmint II (inc 1 piece mount) on eBay for 43squid so the world is all good here!!

...back on topic, I suppose the biggest round these parts is Churchills or Uttings but both more really shops than gunsmiths, for actual service better bet would be Nelson's (01603 305973) or Coopers at Woodbastwick (01603 722875) both nice blokes to deal with and both actually shoot air rifles as a hobby.

I agree.

Churchills is bloody expensive and the chaps in there are ***** anyhow, So I'd leave them alone if you can help it.

I'd recommend both Nelsons of norwich (the Smith there is really nice chap).

And Chris of Norfolk Sporting guns of wymondham, is a great chap too.

Went in to Norfolk Sporting Guns and Websters today and would thoroughly recommend both of them. My mate ended up buying a Edgar Mod 85 from Websters. Very nice chap, set us up a little range to give it a try out, threw in some pellets and targets too - lovely gun btw, surprisingly quiet - so spent the rest of the day happily blowing up J2O bottles in the back garden.
