Topgunners
Took a day off in the sunshine yesterday and whilst having a drive round I saw a field being battered by rooks and "jackies" at one end and about 200 pigeons at the other. A couple of "door knocks" later found the farmer who owned the land ; who told me they had just drilled on tuesday, and got permission to shoot. Flew back home for the gear and pick up my "HOPPOS" and we set up two deek patterns. 3 crow decoys and 30 pigeon decoys and after a short while we had pigeons 1 minute, crows rooks & jackies the next minute and even BOTH together. Ended up with 87 pigeons & 43 "Blackies". Popping back out today for a look . Chow 4 now. Dave K. piccie 2 follow

Staffs-Shooter
Shot over barley drillings yesterday, 9 crow deeks, one pecker, one crow on the flapper once shot. Ended up with 11 jacks, 14 crows & 45 rooks for 2 guns. Had to leave early to meet Mel & out with the wife last night, otherwise would have had 80+ in the bag. Birds came steady allday but not one pigeon came by? Loads of Blue Rocks & some ferals. Rookery about a half mile away has about 20 nests & not many residents now! M ROBSON
We've still got drillings going in around here, getting great bags of Pigeons, the best of the Crow shooting won't start for another couple of weeks. Mark.
