davie mac
i have been offered a one year old golden lab, it comes from good stock (so to speak)it has not had any training at all, what i would like to know is is it possible to train a dog of this age or is it to old to start training. WGD
No problem if it's not been allowed to develop a load of bad habits (less likely to have bad habits if it's been kennelled), even then the dog is still a pup so it will just take longer. Devilishdave
I got an 18 month old Lab, he had aparently belonged to a keeper who lost his job and had gone driving so a farmer friend was shifting the dog on for him. The dog didn't know how to walk on a lead or basics like sit stay etc. Now he is ok (doesn't show me up on a driven day) and would be even better if I invested more time in him. He never fails to impress with his scenting ability though. Dave
