dave dog
Picked up my ruger to today. So now comes the nail biyeing bit will it shoot, shold do as the chap who had must have spent some money on. Didn't notice that the actions been bedded, aswell as have barrel shortened recrowned, aftermarket tigger, mod. Will put up the pics once have resized and shot the rifle. Only weak piont in can see is the scope. But keeping an open mind on that for now. Follow up work done, i've test my rifle to see what it will do and how it went. Somw of the pictures migth not be that good. The traget of the fox head is at 100 yrds a 5 round grouping. The i have the rifle zeroed at 65 as according to the charts that will give me a useable range of 260 yrda on crow sized traget. You can see some of the bedding job that it as had done. And all so the first victim to fall with. He/she was shot at range of 168 yrds so the range finder said, couldn't get photo of that to prove it. The round i used were 53gr nomra soft points. Will have to other rounds but for the time being they work fine. So i am a happy man. Dave. Edited June 24, 2009 by dave dog

DaveK
I guess you mean zero at 165? roughly 1inch hi @100 No, he's right. A 60 yard zero will be at first point blank giving 1" high at 100. Personally I'd check zero at a further distance to confirm it as any errors will show up better. 60 yards isn't really far enough to allow errors to develop although it will give a fairly accurate picture.
