DanRM
im thinking about going for abit of a walk about tomorrow morning after a few rabbits and early pigeons. Last time i walked around there was a flock of pigeons on the ploughing (what was maize cover) but now they have planted it again with maize. I havent had chance to have a look to see what is on it, but do you think its work taking my decoying kit? when i go for the rabbits? MerseaDavid
it all depends on how good the farmer drilled the crops, we had a poor seed bed this year and there is plenty of seed on top still and the birds are getting on to it now. you need to get down and check it out to see what is going on mate. DanRM
just been down this morning, there was mainly crows but a few pigeons, shot 3 whilst walking around it. i will most probably go for a crow/pigeon session tomorrow, so i will let you know how i got on if i do go Dan
Highlander
Think youre more likely to see the black stuff on it at this time of year but if you can get them to decoy you should have a good day.
