mikee
Hi, i was thinking about booking a couple of stalks with BASC in their Kings Forrest shoot, just wondering if anybody on PW had tried it and what did they think of the scheme mikee
Highlander
If BASC are running it you'll need DSC1 & 2 I believe!
mikee
If BASC are running it you'll need DSC1 & 2 I believe! No need for any qualifications, they do a novice scheme where any basc member can pay £115 and have a supervised stalk using their rifle http://www.basc.org.uk/download.cfm/docid/...7E8A45B51477137 mikee
steve0146
Hi I did my DSC 1 with BASC earlier this year. I did the old National Stalkers Competence Certificate about 10 years ago, but they would not let me shoot with this anymore. Anyway, while on the course i asked about the Kings Forest scheme and no one from BASC rated it. Apprently its completely shot out and no worth going. This is not from first hand experience and it's best to find someone who has been.
Gully
They have permits for 18 roe bucks and 18 does per season. Other than them its muntjac only although they do get reds and fallow the Forestry Commission keep them for themselves.
