 I would like some advice on applying for a firearms certificate. I want to apply for a .223 and a .17hmr but dont know how much land, and what type of land I need to put down for the grant of a firearms certificate. Would i be better off just applying for .17hmr first in order to gain better trust with the police. Also, would I need to put down the bullet type, (ie, .223 rem or .223 WSSM) or just the calibre. Any advice would be greatly recieved.

ok thanks. i was worried about getting it wrong and bieng refused a certificate. thanks for the advice. Iv got probably 400 acres in total, not many roads near by and plenty of hills and banks.

I have been reading a lot about .223 WSSM vs .223 rem, many people say the barrels 'burn out' (.223 WSSM) after between 1000-2000 shots but will i EVER shoot that many shots in my life? Anyone on here have or ever had the 2 mentioned types of .223 and could tell me the real difference? thanks :bye2:
