stokie
A friend of mine has been granted his first FAC for 17HMR and 22 Rimfire . His permission was inspected by the feo and approved for use . Now when his ticket came through it says vermin and pest on it but does not specify any land . So does that mean he has open ticket and can come shoot on my permission Also with only saying vermin what is he allowed to shoot
DaveK
It's likely to say on land deemed suitable by the chief officer of police .......... which means that land has to have been inspected and cleared before it can be shot on. Less restrictive conditions (open) allow the shooter to make that decision. Depends on your firearms departments interpretation. Most don't include fox but some do. You're looking at the likes of rabbits, hares, corvids, squirrels (on the ground).
Paul223
>>So does that mean he has open ticket and can come shoot on my permission?<< Open ticket? If it reads as Dave says 'deemed suitable' then no, but has your land been deemed suitable by the chief officer of police for 17HMR and 22 Rimfire? then if so surely yes to 'shooting on my permission'
