Just to be sure... borrowing gun for more than 72 hours

Recommended Posts

I've done a search, but haven't got the definitive answer, so here goes...

I'm borrowing a friends gun for more than 72 hours.

I realise that the details have to be written on my cert and I email my FLO the usual details, Make, Model, Gauge, Serial no, Date, lent, his name/address/SGC number.

Does the lender also need to email his FLO? He's in a different county, does this make a difference?

All assistance gratefully received.

Peter,

Just spoken with an RFD friend of mine to confirm what I thought.

You are correct in advising your constabulary. The lender should, ideally, let BOTH force areas know by recorded/registered post.

(RFDs are required to write to the BUYERS force area - which of course may be a different area).

Hope that helps!

Andy
