Fitting new gauge to a diving bottle

Hopefully i've posted in the right section of the forum

I knocked my 3ltr bottle the other day which resulted in the front of the gauge (the plastic front and needle) popping off  . Now i put it back together the best i could but i'm worried it isn't reading the pressure correctly, as i'm having trouble at the mo with the accuracy of my s10,and i'm worried it's not charging the buddy bottle properly. So i want to discount of all the possible reasons for the trouble i'm havin before spending money getting it looked at.

So i'm looking at getting another gauge for my bottle but i'm unsure how to replace it?! Is it just a case of takin the old gauge off and putting the new one on? Is this safe to do when the bottle is full providing the 'tap' on the bottle is closed? Can anyone recommend a good gauge to replace the exsisting 'dodgy' one?

Cheers in advance for any replies,

Scott

take your filling adapter gauge etc off you bottle and remove your gauge , locate a compressed air supplies firm local to you and get a new gauge dont try guessing with a dodgy gauge unless you have good ear protection and full body armour :P
