chris o Posted June 30, 2009 Report Share Posted June 30, 2009 hi everyone i am a bit confused. i have a genral idea about chokes but i dont understand what they are actually for and what they do to the shot pattern? i have a remmy 1100 that is a fixed choke with a skeet choke and i dont quite know what skeet is and what it is compared to quarter half and three quarter full and cylender. could some one please eplain to me? and how tight a pattern skeet choke is? thanks. MC Posted June 30, 2009 Report Share Posted June 30, 2009 A skeet choke is between true cylinder and a quarter choke it is not tight at all but is perfect for most shooting. According to the Eley shooters diary a skeet choke (albeit they call it improved cylinder) should give 50% of your shot within a 30" circle.
