Frenchieboy
I've just been contacted by a friend of a friend who has a problem with mink. I want to help this person out but I do not want to invest in several mink cage traps that might only be used once in a blue moon. I know that I could shoot the little ******* but the land along side the stream where he keeps his poultry is quite overgrown so seeing them for long enough to get the crosshairs on them might be a problem and a shotgun is out of the question due to the proximity of nearby neighbours and I am totally against the use of poison for any type of vermin control. Does anyone in the East Lancs area (Between Rochdale and Burnley of the Rossendale Valley have a couple of live cage traps I could borrow for a short while please? Many Thanks. lapwing
Might be asking if your local wildlife trust would lend some. Several are carrying out mink control programmes and welcome the help.
Frenchieboy
Good thought Lapwing, it's something that I hadn't thought about. I have just e-mailed them for advice. I have received a PM offering the loan of a couple from a member that is very local to me. I will keep members informed of the outcome.
