Toombsy
When I'm shooting sporting, skeet or pigeons I have both eyes open, and score pretty well most days. When I'm shooting DTL with both eyes open I average 16-17 per round... but when I close my left eye I average 23. Given the choice I'd much prefer to average 23 DTL with both eyes open... Anyone have any advice that will help solve this, please?
SXPhil
If you shoot better with one eye closed carry on that way My eye dominance means I need to keep my left eye closed as I won't hit a thing keeping both eyes open indeed I would be better off with both closed
beretta
a lot of dtl shooters cover 1 eye. most shots are pretty straight away with only slight angles so i think its just to keep you on line.
clayman
Try the compromise. Visually acquire the target with both eyes open to register the speed and direction, as soon as you see it close the off eye and use the single eyes tunnel vision to see the sight picture clearly.
