its true if you are polite and do as you say your going to do you wont go far wrong.

i know from first hand three years ago i managed to get about 150 acres of crop land to shoot on i had't met the farmer before in my life but i went and spoke to him and he was ok after all the blah blah blahs i went on my way.i rang him every time i went out and so on and so on.

well early last year i had a phone call at work from a farm manager who wanted a quote for two steel buildings for his boss.any how i passed the job to my estamater who went on and won the job well to cut a long story short the job was for the farmer whose land i was shooting on i went up when the first shed was going up and met the farmer again he was so pleased with our work and that the job was deliverd two weeks before our quoted time he told me i can shoot all his land 3000 acres.quality

good man..... well done

cautionary tail, I'm sure you'll see my point....... but at the same time I'm sure you wont have any problems

I was a production director for a large company..........because of my experience they said because......... because I excelled at my job they said......... I was chosen to go to sri lanka to set up & train people for a new production unit over there....... it wasn't long before UK production was surplus to requirements AND I ........great & invaluable tho I was, I was made redundant........

lets hope your farmer,... like most doesn't have the time to shoot to much.....or better still you & him become shooting partners

Shot gun 666 , you are going about it the right way and you need to cultivate a friendship with your farmer . Dont be hesitant in offering help around the farm if you can . My friendship with my farmer friend started exactly the same way many years ago . I now have 3000 acres of prime arable land to shoot over and have the full run of the farms with all the game and vermin shooting and deer stalking . I am well known to his neighbours and could if i wanted have their farms to shoot over if i wanted . I do help them out when they have a deer or pigeon problem .

Cultivate a friendship with your farmer and your shooting will be safe for years to come . Well done . Harnser .
