Can't you buy a cheap pair of glasses off the bay and take a lens out of them to try?

Thats my next project is an add on, how well can you see the monitor being so close to it, I tried it but my eye's couldn't focus on the screen, my eye sight isn't the best though.

After seeing Davyo thread on diy NV it got me interested. I order the parts and had a go putting it together with out trying to cut wires, but it ended up one mass of cables. I took the plunge on the second attempt and shorten the wires and it came out a bit neater. I'm very happy with the results. I'd like to thank Davyo and others for all the help and advise that was given.

Thanks for the reply's, I know you can change the pills, I was just wondering if you took a soldering iron to one whether it could be altered.

No, I don't think so. I've got 4 of these torches and they're all the same, They start off in low mode for some reason.

I have a T38 torch and was wondering if you can alter the pill to a single high mode, the one i've got at the moment is a 3 mode IR that I'm using on a diy spotter and every time I switch it on it come's on in low mode. I just need it to be in high mode.

Have a look at Davyo's thread in the DIY section, I've just made a spotter and well impressed with the results, now in the middle off making a NV for the rifle.

I have for sale a Cobra Merlin with extra eye relief, It come's with the DSA and all the collars, It's in excellent condition, £300 posted.

I know alot of you guys have built or are building a nv spotter, I'm in the middle of building one and was wondering if you use a filter of some sort over the screen/monitor to stop the glare, and if so where do you get them from?

It takes a bit of patience and head scratching but it's worth it in the end, and you'll probably do another

I made a few of these last year, I've fitted one to every rifle i've got. This is a new to me Airarms that i've made a new adjustable stock and fitted it with an adjustable recoil butt that was already on the gun when I had it, so I can use my add on night vision on any of the rifles. Material costs was about £5 and a couple of hour's on a grinder.

The Night Master, you should be able to pick up a second hand one for your budget, or any of the t20,t38,t50 and t67
