Killjoy
Id say it was the gun fit not the cart pal, i used to shoot the Silver Pigeon at the clay ground before i got my own gun and that would smash my face to bits with 24grm clay carts. I use 24grm No 7.5 Gamebore carts on Pigeons and drop them no problem. £3 /
MerseaDavid
The hull special pigeons are a good cartridge (especially the fibre ones) but most 32 gram cartridges will do this. It might be that the gun does not fit you quite right. The Eley Grand Prix are a good cartridge and are not too hard on the shoulder. I got a recoil reducer fitted to my Beretta and then I found the Eley HP pigeon cartridges and these work well. I found the kent Velocity's were a very hard hitting cartridge. The best cartridge I found apart from the HP pigeon shells were the Eley RealTree cartridges 6shot 30 grams. If it is hitting your jaw then it is a sign that you may want to go and see a gunsmith or someone who can get the gun better fitted for you.
