D1zzle
Hi all I have been hunting pigeons in a local field and find that they are very crafty and can spook very easily! What do people prefer GUILLIE SUIT or NORMAL CAMO? What do people find better? Is there a difference? Happy Hunting! Cranfield
Camo clothing is easier to wear than a Ghillie suit in my opinion, but from a concealment point of view I think they are about the same. The main thing that spooks pigeons (and other birds) is movement. Hiding behind a camo net with a face veil and gloves on, allows you to move without the birds seeing you. If you sit in a hedgerow (without a camo net) with either full camo on, or a ghillie suit, don't move until you are ready to take the shot or the birds will spook. I often don't wear camo clothes in my hide, just dark clothing and it doesn't seem to make any difference.
THEINVISIBLESCARECROW
Camo, easier to carry, wear & conceal yourself.
harry mac
Cammo or dark clothing every time. Ghiilie suits are ok for wannabe snipers but they scare the locals, get caught on stuff and can interfere with gun mount.
