Whizzy
Hi All, I normally shoot 22rf chasing rabbits, but need an air rifle for one bit of my patches. What would people suggest as a reasonably economic but usable rifle ? .. Would prefer .177 due to the ballistics involved..
alexr
How economic? I like PCP’s but that is personal taste. They are not cheep though once you get all the filling kit and the likes. HW77/97 seem popular though a nice airarms TX200 might do if you are looking for a spring gun. I’ve used both and prefer the airarms, but again there are plenty of people who will disagree. Look in the guns for sale section, there are often good deals to be had. Try before you buy though.
wildfowler.250
Recommend a weihrauch hw77k, really like it! it's a bit heavy but well balanced for aiming. A friend has a BSA lightening but it's too light IMHO, making the gun harder to hold steady,(he says that himself). Don't know much about the pcp guns though if that's what your looking for
alexr
If you want to look at the cheep end look at the byrnes auction house wed site I know Chester is a bit far from Powys but they do have some cheep bits of kit.
