You can use a second hand chassis as long as you have a V5 registration document for it, you can not use a second hand chassis and keep your current reg plate, that would be 'ringing', whats up with the chassis you have? various repair sections are available from the front out riggers to complete rear half chassis sections, google paddocks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Paul223 Posted August 26, 2009 Report Share Posted August 26, 2009 If you fit a new chassis, like a Richards, then it is a replacement part, no need to notify dvla, but may be a good idea to make a photo catalogue of the process, and photos of destroyed original chassis, also a good idea to keep the original o/s dumb iron with the chassis number on, photos and dumb iron as a just in case your ever asked to do a VIC Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
