Browning
I'm interested in knowing which make of brass so you guys use for reloading ? Especially for .243. I always used to buy Federal "once fired" for the .222 and .22-250, but I've been out of reloading for a few years. Any advice much appreciated
AndyCM
Hi Browning, I have used Federal cases with good results - kept from factory loads before I had the reloading kit. I have been getting good groups with 42.5g of RL22 behind Nosler 95g ballistic tips and more recently with 40g of H414 behind Speer 100g SPBT. I switched mainly because sourcing the Noslers I found difficult. Cheers AndyCM
dunganick
hmmmm lapua wouldnt touch anything else with a barge pole, if you have used the brass you will know why. only problem the flash holes can have some swarf in them very occasionly, beats bits of polystyrene in norma brass (my 2nd choice)
Elma Fud
Hi Browning I use any brass that I can get! What's important, is when you make a batch all the rounds you make are of the same brand of case. The thickness of the walls vary with each brand. I personally like Federals.
