blacky
I just got a Hawke scope and put it on the .22 xl Tactical i dont know a lot about air rifles etc but am getting to learn one or two things. I zero the scope in then hit the target where i want but after i few shoots the pellets go of the target then i try and zero again i think i need better mounts mibby one piece set that sits in one of the holes on the tactical, What would be a good mount for the tactical? blacky
Is the gun brand new? Hi Colster yes as good as not even had 500 pellets yet. Thanks Sam the mount screws seam to go lose which hold the scope to the mount i don't want to keep screwing them tight incase i damage the scope as i don't know how tight i can screw them. George1990
It'll be the mounts coming loose more than likely. Feel the screws getting tight, the add a quarter turn. Check them every now and then and do em tighter if need be. Also, make sure the base of the mounts are sitting as well as they can in the dovetails, or they can quickly come loose

Colster
I'd agree, I did wonder if the gun just needed a bit longer to settle down but a tin will usually do. You could try a bit of Loctite on the screws but tbh I'd probably replace the mounts if they keep coming loose rather than gluing them. An Accushot one piece mount would cost about £20, I have one on my springer and it's rock solid.
