Just thought id ask a few questions of the obviously inteligent beings that frequent this forum .

I have just finished watching the series "Jamies school dinners" Jamie Oliver and his quest for the better nourishment of the youth of the British Isles .

As i recall when i was a lad ,the school dinners were a lot more nourishing than they seem to be now , you may not have liked the swede, parsnips, turnips and so on but it was good for you .

I have watched many of his shows and kinda like the guy ,gives the impression of a straight shooter and honest guy (im told he's a clay shooter also :) ).

It seems he wants to do the right thing regardless of political interferance and local council bulls**t , the series ended with a header of a petition going to Billy Liar in #10 with some 271,000 sig's .

Has the school system carried on his turnaround, or dropped it like a hot spud (pun intended) ,how do you guys feel he did ,im curious as he seemed to be giving it all he had ,even to the point of his family relationships.

After hearing of the health and concentration differences in the kids after a couple of months id think they'd want to keep going , at least for the healthier generations to follow and lower sickness in children ,incurring costs on the health care system and so on .

As i said , in my limited knowledge the "WHOLE" story id like to hear your opinions .

ta very much guys

happy Canada day NTTF (have a good trip to ern's )

Well LB it aches like hell :*) i have to admit it sounded easier than it was .

we arrived at 10-30 am drove the course laying flats out at key points (3km cource to walk ) back in and walked to the 1st station ,started shooting at 11-15 am ,shot through till 3-30pm ,we had to stop ,as i was on the last 2 stations the rain started , "pah " no problem ,,,,,,, lightning hitting the trees around 150yds away ,gave me a thought or two,the main being ..

"why am i holding a dual lightning rod with explosive's in the bottom ,and pointing into the sky "

or ZAP "look ma ,no head hands feet or sticky out bits left " :)

anyway we packed up fast and headed in ,a look at the box counter tallied at 1,545 targets shot (i think he shot the odd one :*) ) between the 2 of us , the main ailment was fatigue ,holding a shotgun at ready over 750 times is tiring ,we shot 10-15 pairs at a time it got tough concentrating on that many targets ,to shoot 4/5 pairs is fine with a break , but its what we intended so no nagging .

we had a great day out , just feeling the long term aches now ,have to relax for the rest of the weekend now ,no yard work honey :*)

:)
