Bazooka Joe
Aug 5 2009, 10:54 AM i have had my fac for abit now but never getting a gun (money problems). Don't want to put a spanner in the works here, but you must of had about a months experience with your 22 then. Crack round our way is that Northumberland is pretty strict...? Best phone your FEO first, may save you time & effort, BJ.
liamlumsden
Basically you've hardly got any restrictions. Well, the only one you've got is that it's a closed ticket. So I would say you've got quite a good chance of getting another rifle. I've seen tickets that have 6 lines worth of conditions and restrictions, so I think your FEO must like you...! The best thing you can do is ring him up, have a chat and explain your situation. You'll find out a lot more by speaking to him, than sending in an application form and hoping for the best. EDIT: DO NOT tell him that you have shot any foxes. You may be in breach of your conditions if your licensing department deem that foxes have to be listed separately on your licence. thanks m8 i will do that

liamlumsden
if you've got the requirement just send in a variation for a .223 and see what happens, you've already got a firearms ticket so you're pretty well trusted. Wouldn't bother with a .22-250 as cost of factory ammo is that much more and you don't really want to get into re-loading i am not going to bother with a 22-250 for that reaSON THANKS
Blackbart
I have taken liam out a couple of times on my permissions after a request on here and at times he doesnt come across as well as he could on here, but he seems a level headed young lad who is keen as mustard.I dont know what his permission is like so i can not comment on it being suitable for a centre fire.As a few have said speak to the licensing rather than listening to hearsay on hear. They may say wait a while or ask you to submit forms but you wont find out till you ask. Northumbria class fox as vermin and it is not listed seperately and i wouldnt say they are overly strict and have found them to take each case on it's merits. Liam, this is what I mean. So in theory, you might get away with it. Don't rely on this though. Just give your FEO a ring tomorrow morning.
