Had some spare time this afternoon so I took the gun apart to find the fault. Nothing helpful on the net so I shall do my best to explain the fault and what could have been wrong. If anyone experiences the same issue on an STL. Check: The ejectors are not damaged. With the barrels removed, look at the breech end at the underneath. Depress the ejector towards the breech (Compressing the spring.) There should be a sprung latch underneath the spring housing. Depress this latch with an electricians screwdriver or something similar and gently release the ejector. The ejector and spring assembly should come away from the breech. Check these components. Next check the fore end. Remove the retaining nut in the middle of the fore end. Remove the two allen key bolts inside the semi circular part of the metalwork. slide the fore end metal work away from the wood. There are two pins in this fore end metal work that 'push' up against the ejector release latches that make the ejectors open. Ensure they are not damaged. Also check that the grub screws holding them in place have not come loose. The fault I had was there was no interference between these grub screws and the pins meaning that one of them twisted in the hole, therefore not pushing the ejector release latch.....it took some playing about with to get the correct resistance/angle but persevere and it should work! The bars that push these pins up from the action. Take off the but pad with a Philips screw driver. With an extension bar get a socket and remove the wood work from the action. Check there is movement in the arms that control the bar's and ensure the bars are not snapped. I hope this may prove helpful to someone.

Evening gentlemen. Had a bit of an issue today. Shot a hundred Sporting this afternoon and developed a problem with my STL. The top ejector has stopped working. I have stripped the ejector down and everything seems ok. The Ejector itself is not showing any signs of damage. The spring and piston bit are ok, no damage. I have immaculately cleaned every knock and cranny, yet the top ejector only is not working. In the forend there are two pins that are free floating which I assume pop up when the gun is fired as there are no springs or mechanisms that push them up? Either way, they are both fine and clean, no signs of damage. I assume its a for end issue? Anyone had similar faults at all? Thanks in advance before I take it the 'smith.
