Finished my little restoration. Am very happy with the results.

I bought this pistol a few weeks ago on a whim. I had one many moons ago, and just fancied a blast from the past. I received it in a poor state. Having had a new valve and barrel fitted! It had damaged seals, and was held together with wood screws! The safety spring and ball were replaced with a section of lamp cable. In all a bit of a dog.

Spent a few days cleaning it down, stripping and replacing the seals, replacing the spring and ball to the safety catch, drilling out and tapping the old screw holes to an M4 and sorting out some machine screws.

When I first got it, I tried it out and was met with a pop on the first shot and a shallow dent in a tin. After the reseal, I am now getting a crack, and the power has increased enough to go THROUGH the same tin. It had a really worn and chipped coat of paint, so I rubbed it back and gave it a new coat of black enamel. It's not quite perfect so I will paint it again. But compared to the dog it was I am a happy bunny. Now to have fun plinking with it.
