secretagentmole
In the course of doing some work I happened upon a rabbit. Stalking up it legged it into the nettles. Noting point of disappearance I laid up alongside the nettles. After half an hour it stuck it's head out. I decided to let it have something to remember me by, remember briefly that is. It decided to oblige by lying down and bleeding profusely. Picking it up by the hind legs I started back and noted a kit. Laying the other rabbit down I managed to get a line on it and bun 2 was sent to the Elysian fields. Getting back to the seat where I had left my bag, I sat after placing the rabbits down. In front of the laurel mound I noticed some movement. Well blast me sideways if it was not another nice sized rabbit out for a graze. Lifting the gun up I got a shot off. Another rabbit rolled over, this one kicked then rested. So three rabbits. Not so bad. I waited in the trees and a lone bird landed straight above me. That was sent to earth. Then one landed in a tree 25 metres away and high up. I managed to pick a shot through the trees and added that to the bag! Makings of a couple of nice dinners methinks. mk2pop
Nice outing well done, is that scope a Nikko 4-12x50 ao ir? I'm looking at swapping the 3-9x40 on my Webley raider10 for one and was looking for your opinion thanks Edited May 16, 2015 by mk2pop
secretagentmole
Nope Hawke Night Eye analogue, 4-12x50 AO IR, SR 6 reticle. Capable of placing a pellet accurately at 50 metres too! The bottle is where the rabbit was shot, prone position, photo taken standing from where shot was taken! Put the range time in and the Hawke SR reticles really do work well! Before anybody asks no you could not stalk up to them, they were alert and watching the hedges.
