Many of my long-nets are from a company called Master Hunter based just outside Salisbury. They do much equipment for ferreters and long netters.

One of my 100yd nets had an issue with the line snapping which it is not supposed to do as it is synthetic and not supposed to rot. I rang Master Hunter up to ask about buying new lines and dreaded the thought of re-rigging my "set" nets as I keep them on mounted poles.

Alan asked me "is the line round or flat?" odd I thought as it matters not which design. Turns out there was a "round" batch from the suppliers some years ago that was poor in strength after a few years. Alan, being the very decent chap he is said "send it back to me and I'll re-do it all for you".

And that is what he did ...... took my old set longnet (collected it), removed all the poles and fixings/knots etc, ran new lines top and bottom then rigged it back on to my poles then posted it back to me....... so it is ready to go for the new season.

Thankfully all my other nets are perfect otherwise Alan had offered to do them all !!!

Top man, top company :good:

My hat off to you Alan and many thanks for superb customer service :good:
