What a stupid thing 2 do to ring a woody, maybe it is a experimental super pigeon designed to avoid gun shot, well what ever it was its dead now.

I was out at the weekend with a mate and we were sitting in a hide waiting for these rooks to come in, and then out of the blue between 60 and 80 yards a squirrel, came out of a tree and sat on a branch a way up, we watched it as we were after the rooks, and it went away, then after no rooks had come it we saw it again at the same distance, this time we went for it, my mate stuck his 10bor out the side of the hid and I stuck my 12bor with two 1’s in it (for lofty crows usually). We both shot at once and the bloody thing fell out of the tree at around 80 yards. Looked like it was dead, but when we got over there it was very much alive, we must has startled it or something, we mannered to get it (you must never let a squirrel get away)

A good way to stop a dog from chasing bunnies is to use chickens, if you have access to a chicken run you can sit the dog in their and stay with it, chickens are often a tempting target for a dog as well. Then over time take of the lead and let it sit their with you next to it.

is this any help Are, this is very important, a good way to make a dog steady or to teach it, is to throw dummies around it (don’t let em hit it), then go and pick up the dummies, if the dog attempts to get at the dummies, sort it out and place it back where it was, if the dog gets to the dummies before you can stop it just take the dummy away from it, you can not tell it off 4 bringing u something. My advice would be after having 2 of the things are that they are reliable but don’t have quite enough power for long shots (stock looks a bit crappy as well), for a good break barrel airgun go for a BSA lightning, that has the power but with out the price tag Around £170.
