I've a .222 here that I bought for muntjac, needs the right set of mounts before I can use it as it'd been bodged before, that'll have to wait now! Its a lovely light little gun

I've quite a few mounts of different fits and sizes sitting in a biscuit tin. PM me what you need and I'll see if I can match it and I'll post them to you for free?

  2. Any tyre experts on here please?

I have a double axle Ifor Williams GD126 trailer (max load 2750Kg) for which the recommended tyres are 650R16 10 PR LT - which I understand is a van tyre?

These are a fairly tall sided tyre and are fitted to a Land Rover type steel 5 stud steel rims.

Two of the tyres have the same tread pattern, one a different tread pattern and one is near bald.

I thought I had this sorted with buying 4 new 175 / 75 / 16's but the tyre co said these weren't suitable.

Would anyone on here be able to advise which standard tyre (like 175 / 75 / 16) would be suitable as the 10ply are silly expensive.

    Thanks in advance.

Calls for him to receive a knighthood have gathered momentum and a petition has been signed by almost 2,000 people so far.

Downing Street said Mr Johnson will "certainly be looking at ways to recognise" him.

"It would be marvellous to have such an honour but I don't expect anything like that," Capt Tom said.

  4. Looking for four 6.50 R16 tyres for a recently acquired Ifor Williams GD126 trailer that currently has three tyres with different tread patterns and one tyre with no tread whatsoever.

Hopefully not too far from my Doctors surgery so I can collect whilst picking up a prescription 😉

Alternatively, I'll collect when the lockdown is over.

Not looking to spend a fortune so used & part worn will do nicely.

    Thanks.

  5. I bodged one up for my Scooby Forester sunroof using a  builders scaffold board cut to the correct length and used a T handle with a lightforce 170 on top of it.

Clipped the electrics on to the battery (apparently it's not a good thing to plug in to the cigarette lighter / power socket).

Worked fine - much better that the bl**dy spring up T handle on the outside of the door.

When shooting from the vehicle just be aware that your scope view is a fair way above the barrel.

    Oooops

  7. Hi.

    Good morning.

The gun was purchased new in 2016. The serial number is 115ZW04483

It is complete with all shims, cast change bits and chokes (most unused) and the extra full extended which I bought in the USA and has never had a shot though it.

Let me know if any more information or pictures are required.

All Honda's in our house , i have a .C.R.V. real work horse  ,good lady has a  Jazz, and my weekend toy Fireblade.

I can honestly say we have never had a moments bother with any of them

My wife has a 2004 bought from new Honda S2000Gt in Moonstone grey and not a single thing has gone wrong in 16 years. It's regularly maintained with full Honda service history and, no, it's not for sale.

Even now it's a real head turner and when I look at the alternatives that we were considering at the time Audi TT, Merc SLK and BMW Z3 it reconfirms we made the right decision. Wonderful car that eats Porkie  Boxsters for breakfast with even the wife turning the radio off to listen to the normally aspirated engine that will spin up to 9K.

    Great engineering.

    Never seen a polecat.

how would you tell a poleCat and ferret Apart?

Wild Polecats have a face "mask" that is very dark (like a comedy sketch burglars mask) and extends down the nose. Polecat ferrets are not so dark in the face neither are cross breeds (apparently).

Impossible to tell if it's a ferret or Polecat as many domestic Ferrets have the same appearance - no doubt cross breeding over the years - if it is a Polecat then you would be wise not to put down any type of trap that may catch/harm it as they are a protected species.Hope it is a Wild Polecat, I have never been fortunate enough to see one.

Saw my first wild Polecat last Sunday (15th) after 50+ years of various moochings around the British countryside.

Just south of Winwick on the  Cambridgeshire / East Northamptonshire border and the face "mask: was very dark (looked like a comedy sketch burglars mask) and extended down the nose.

Lovely to see it there - it was miles from where I shoot!

That one in the picture looks like a ferret.
