Semi automatic, with paddle shift, you have to shift up and you can shift down, but it auto shifts down., braking is one pedal on right side that operates all brakes in a 20/80 split.

Hello, Your right Simon, Cannot remember who wrote it but i read it is the most played song at funerals , Still debating what mine is going to be 🤔😄 I feel some Eggs/Chips/ and Mushroom are on the menu today👍👍

My mate Roy, blown up in an armoured vehicle in NI and read the last rights,Sapper,9 Para, and then the French foreign legion for 5 years, police dog handler warrant/arrest officer for the courts and to finish it off trainee vicar, 58 and liver cancer took him 3 weeks after diagnosis, this song was played at the crem as the curtains were drawn, he knew we would all laugh, he certainly lived a full life.

    Never forgotten.

  3. I am a mid sixties child, but growing up in our village we had the fish man come round on a friday, pop man on a wednesday and brawn's the baker on a saturday with loaves and rolls still warm, i remember a man coming round with a sharpening stone on the front of his cart and all the street getting knifes sharpened. The coal was delivered up to the 80's .
My Granddad was a rag and bone man in Hartlepool dealing in cloth/textiles mainly, he would go round the streets with his cart and it was pulled by one of the 3 shire horses they had, my Dad used to tell me they were the most placid horses, and as a kid weighing next to nothing would ride them round the fields bareback with an air rifle strapped over his back for rabbits, he said he had to make sure there was always a fence near by because it was easy getting off but not so easy to get back on lol.

    Hi Rod Edwards,

Re your post back on 19/01/2019…

I have a ‘licensed’ Chas Bowerman in my possession. I live in the South West of Western Australia.
It is a 12 Gauge Side x Side, Double Hammer, Sidelock with Ejector. It does not bear a Model Number but has the Serial Number and all the proof marks from the Birmingham Proofing House, relative to the periods from 1904 to 1925 & 1925 to 1954.
I am happy to share photos if you wish, I have partially restored it and it’s in good condition considering its age of just on 100 years.

I hope that sheds some light for the family history.

    Col in Oz

I have allowed your post even though the thread is 5 years old, as some may be interested, Rod Edwards has not visited this site since 2019.

How come the mods on here allow a member to slag another member off over a sale and then close any further comments before he's had a right to reply. Apart from incorrect facts asking others to not buy from this person before all relevant facts are made open is unfair in my opinion. Mods what have you got to say for yourself?

You could have pm'd anyone of the admin team and asked this question, but the same as the posts i closed down you all chose to let the world know what is happening, i have been rather busy checking a massive pile of engineering reports and have been popping on here on my infrequent breaks to keep things running, there are hundreds of posts running at anyone time on here, checking and then removing or amending them takes time. I have just finished for the weekend, i will hide both the threads, this means they will not be deleted but will be available for reference should they be needed in the future.

Now i have a date with a single malt and tomorrow it's out on the trike and a concert so have a great weekend all.

  6. Not sure what is going on that will be for an experts like Teal and his brother, but i do know that in the last month we are catching at least a couple of spammers a day, usually russian, so the site server is working hard to keep the site secure, maybe it's all related.

Unless I have tasked and paid this mob to deliver something for me, I have no agreement or contract - call it what you will - with them. Consequently, could anyone tell me what right they have to charge me £5 if one of their clients has sent me a package on which whoever posted it used counterfeit stamps. Apparently, they're working hard to stop this. If they've learned anything from the Post Office as is they make haste slowly they're on a nice little earner

You don't have to pay, they will just not give you the package, after all if it's a counterfeit stamp they have not been paid to deliver it, the package would go back to the sender who would be asked for payment.

Now that is a machine. 👍

@r1steele Are they still made at Meriden?

These are made in Canada, they are can-am spyders, the old one was a 1000cc v twin, and it was the "sport " model 0-60 in 4.5 secs, and cornered like a go cart, the new one is a 1350 cc in line 3 and because it is heavier 0-60 is about 5-5.5 secs.
Both are rotax engines so all the power available in any gear if you are in the powerband.

They don't tilt when they go round corners.

  9. War is a dirty nasty business, and mistakes are made or choices are made that turn out to be wrong, anyone willingly entering a conflict zone should be aware of the dangers and the possiblity they might die.
My heart goes out to the families, the 3 who died were experienced Veterans, they knew the risk and accepted it.

They should not have been targeted.

  10. Cheesy beans are a bit of an institution within the Royal Engineers, all Sappers going through training know of the warming and cheap meal served at the Jackson club in Gibraltar barracks, the club is a charity, SASRA "the soldiers and sailors scripture readers association" and the cheesy beans are legendary.
