  7. i would agree with salop sniper, i have changed from mtc scopes to the hawke panorama a/o scopes using their half mil dot reticules, compact light good optics, and my ns200 system fits easily.
  8. my t10 was filled to 190 bar and i got 75 shots in .177 before refilling
  9. went out the other night and had a rabbit and a rat so a result, before i shot those i tweeked the zero checking it at 30,40 & 50yards, my gun shot 34 pellets before its POI dropped and I had to re-charge. just checked over chrono using JSB Exact Jumbo 15.98grn, 10 shot string. not too bad with a 14 fps variation. 1 = 861 2 = 860 3 = 866 4 = 863 5 = 868 6 = 868 7 = 874 8 = 868 9 = 871 10 = 873 average fps reading = 867.2 = 26.5ft/lbs
  10. I totally agree i have 2 one is fac, absolutely excellent guns
  11. I had the mk4 is but sold it as was too heavy, i now have the huntsman in .22 12ft/lbs and fac huntsman 30ft/lbs, both guns weigh exactly the same, they come to the shoulder superbly and are very accurate, on the 12ft/lbs model i can get 80+ shots before the power drops off and with the FAC i can get 34 shots before the power drops. Excellent choice, i will not be changing either of these guns
  12. i went out to tweek the zero before hunting last night, i shot 34 pellets at ranges of 30,40 & 50 yards before the poi changed, more than happy with that, the rats really don't like it lol
  13. went out last night had these with the new 30ft/lbs .22 huntsman
  14. It comes down to you handling as many guns as possible to see which one suits you. I started down the fac air route some 5 years ago, having a theoben rapid mk1 running 28ft/lbs, .20 calibre, lovely gun but very heavy, i sold it and then bought an airarms S410 extra @ 32ft/lbs in .22 great gun useful in that the power could be reduced, gun was too long with moderator on. I have just taken delivery today of a daystate huntsman in .22 cal at 3oft/lbs and its the same weight as its 12ft/lbs mate, i shot 40 shots through it before the power dropped. I also have the .22lr and just sold the .17hmr. hope this helps ATB jon

  16. i have to sell my 6 berth cabanon Eloise Frame tent, used approx 6 times, A1 condition, together in its own Erde 102 trailer. (£200+ @ halfords) Grab a bargain £600 ovno. Pick up only
  17. Hi there i have had a few guns, so here is my thoughts for you to consider. Personally first of all you need to decide what the gun will be used for !! what type of vermin are you wanting to shoot. Do you have to carry it long distances, how often are you going to be using it, and so on... I absolutely love the bsa scorpion T-10 tactical stock, multishot give you the chance to take a follow up shot quickly, in the event of wounding the target. I have had both the .177 and .22 . The .177 gives you a flatter trajectory and slightly increased range, the .22 having a larger cross sectional area gives more stopping power, but at closer range. You can pick up these models reasonably cheaply, i have just sold the .22 gun on its own for £300. Hope this is of some use to you regards Jon
  18. air rifles have primary and secondary zero points, where the pellet rises as it leaves the barrel, then drops back to itz set zero, so if you zero at 28 metres (my chosen zero, as my garden is that long), then the pellet will be no more than 10mm/1/2 inch from target, from about 8m to about 32m, hope this makes sense. Then its just a matter of learning the aim points for hold-over and hold-under
  19. ok thanks for your replys guys, probably go with the sak then, will keep people posted jon
  20. Just put in for variation on firearms certificate, for a .22lr, if successful i will be getting a cz varmit and wanted to know which moderator you guys/gals are using on yours. Which is the most quiet, I will probably be using sub sonic ammo, if i want more i can use the hmr regards jon
