  1. mmmmm funny that last post came up ive been driving for just under a year and me and a couple of friends were saying it would be good if they have some way of assessing someone over a fairly long period of time. this followed by a long discussion on how they would do it... we didnt come up with any interesting ideas. and for the 'p' plates. they are optional and i would never use them, apparently they have the same affect as 'L' plates and i was amazed the difference when i took my 'L' plates off. no one pulls out in front of you (ok, less do) and no one does general idiotic things to get in front of you.
  2. im not sure how this will go down... im 18 and was out shooting with a friend... finnished up at about 8 o'clock and decided to go for a pint. had a pint and as i was pulling out of the pub along comes a police car, i pull out behind him, he pulls over and then pulls out behind me and then on come the blues and twos. i stop and had a talk to mr police man to cut a long story short i get searched for drugs (not into that so he didnt find any) but finds the knife i had in my pocket. i didnt even have to explain why i had it he just said 'i hope you wernt planning on carrying this around with you outside of your car'.... silly mistake to keep it on me and im glad thats all he said in a way, BUT, if thats how much the police care about knifes im slightys worried. and before people jump to conclusions i am SURE there are policemen that would take it a lot more seriously than this one and fair anough to them. luckily i would of had a good story that could of been confirmed by the farmer if it had of come to that.
  3. ive got one and it is a really good lamp. regards

    scopes

glad i read this. i have been looking at the jsr scopes for a while wondering if they would be any good.... take it you rate them highly then... i have a Hawke Sport-HD 3-9x50 which does me well for hunting.
  8. its an S400 with the rowan engineering multishot kit on it.... you wouldnt believe how long it took to get the scope shot regards
  9. Thought i would post this as It was the first evening on my first permission with the new gun. Most of the time was spent just wandering around trying to sus out where they all are. Got a modest 4, enough for some dinner!!! sorry the picture is soo rubbish, not sure what happened. the picture down my scope i thought was quite impressive (if i do say so myself), it took soo long to take.
  10. as the title may suggest, wondering how accurate other people have found hollow points? in particular RWS Super-H-point... thanks T
  11. Domed. biseley mags. one point though, on RWS super domes i have had bad experiences with them with about %50 of the pellets quite deformed out of the tin... 3 different tins from 3 different batches. think i was really unlucky as i have heard really good things about them.

  13. I have a Hawke Sport HD 3-9x50 and i would really reccomend it, for the price (around £60-70) i think it is a quality scope. i have the Mil-Dot version and really rate Mil-dot Scopes highly, especially for hunting. hope this helps

    loosing zero

as the title may suggest i have a hawke reflex 3-9x44 scope that will not hold zero. i can zero it in perfectly and then any movement will cause the scope to loose zero. i have checked the mounts are secure, moved them to different positions (wasnt sure what i was trying to achieve with this one). btw its on a pcp so no recoil. i have another scope which i have currently put on the gun and its fine, keeps zero as one would expect. final word is it has jus been sent off to Deben (i think) by the local gun shop and returned after they found 'nothing wrong with it'. anyone got any ideas what it could be??? regards

    Finally!

After asking around for permission for 2 months or so ive finally got some permission. Scarily, its 2,000 acres.... but there is a couple of other guys that shoot there so at least the farmer isnt relying on just me. Went out for a wonder this evening after getting the permission in writing and got 4 rabbits with the new gun... pretty pleased as ive been practicing a lot in the field we own since i got the gun about 2 months ago. T
  19. Do you need an FAC for a 3 shot? sorry mind has gone blank...
  20. yer, i popped over today and he offered me £250 for it... bit harsh i thought as i brought it for just under £400 a month ago, and i would buy the new gun there aswell....
  21. I currently have an Air Arms S400 Carbine .177 with the AA silencer and have decided that i should of brought the S410. The gun is 5 weeks old and obviously not had many shot through it at all. i am trying to find out how much i will get for the gun as i am hoping to sell it and get the S410. If anyone knows hoe much its worth or whether a similar one has been sold that there aware of and know how much it went for it would be greatly appriciated. also , anyone know of any problems with the S410 (multishot mech problems?) as opposed to the S400 as i really get on with the S400. Regards
  22. evening everyone..... pls name your favourite online air gun shops or just ones your have looked at and been impressed with... thanks T
  23. Evening all. Has anyone tried one of these cheap bipods (http://www.targetsports.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=254_367&products_id=3189) i rarely need a bipod so i dont feel the need to spend a lot onto it. Also it is going to be on an AA S400 Carbine so there it little of the barrel free to clamp it onto, anyone had this problem??? Regards
  24. Had my AA S400 Carbine for about 2 months now, absolutly love it... great gun...
