Couldnt you make a complete stock? their are instruction's on here and could be constructed using a wide range of materials avaliable, injection moulded plastic, fibre-glass etc. Just an idea and you could use afterwards

After a quiet night shooting, nothing in the bag and about to pack up for home, a single crow flew over around 80 - 100 yards high (actually dont know if it was that high but was deffinatly out of the 50 yard kill distance), so i decided a pot shot was in order, escort semi auto full choke + D+J No 6 36grm = one very dead crow. Really wasnt expecting to hit it and it seemed to take ages for the shot to get to the bird.

that was a bit harsh!!! A 22 rimfire is (correct me if im wrong) the smallest calibre avaliable on FAC other that FAC air rifles, so not sure where your coming from on this one, the 222 however is a serious round and im suprised he got this with no questions asked, does he have thousands of acres to shoot? My question on this one, why would a .17HMR be refused and a .222 be ok? seems a bit daft to me that one as it is a bigger calibre faster bullet??? If a case was made for .22 LR for vermin and for a more powerful centre fire rifle for fox or long range vermin, the HMR would perhaps be seen as falling between the two and could be regarded as unnecessary since the other two would be appropriate for the jobs described on the application. It has always been my experience that the officers making these decisions are experienced and able to make judgments about whether they can trust the character involved to behave properly. If a sensible man of impeccable record presented himself with a good reason to use a .222 such as the destruction of foxes, and property suitable for its use, the police would be duty bound to grant the request. If they had concerns about him, they would be entitled to impose conditions. Applicants don't all get the same treatment, generally because they are not all the same in age, maturity, wisdom, and experience. Any one of the above could influence the way things go.

Pardon my stupidity, but why do you go through the whole process of heating the blade? is it to give it more strength?? Looks brilliant btw
-
Nice gun, how much did you pay for it, if you dont mind me asking? I actually like the carpet, looks clean too. But the chair looks like one of those sleep trap's to me
-
As said mate, there are slugs but from what i can gather you are after a show piece??? The slug cartridge looks like a normal shotgun cartridge, the slug is contained within, so it would not be like a rifle round with the bullet on show. Hope that makes sense! Ice

Glad you solved it, Taught it the hard way hey, steeling is a crime!!! "FACT"

Phone around the builders merchants, and remember to haggle with them all, get prices and use them as bargaining points, you will be supprised how low then can go!!!
-
Never tried that, looks bloody lovely, but what a weird way of cooking. Pardon my ignorance but, what is it wrapped in???
-
HE HE, I wonder how much they paid for it
-
I dont understand this, sorry im not knit picking but surely in this case you would be shooting over your targets?? I look directly straight down the flat of the barrels.
-
