  1. 196 lets all go and meet mickey
  2. horse and contry tv have a web site with online tv content adding more stuff every day they did have lots of clay shooting instruction and a load of fishing films these seem to have dissipeared since the relaunch at the CLA but hopefully they stick something in there soon
  3. saturday was stinkin' hot but managed to get roung the lot went and saw all the PW members i could find even got a cracking bargin off decko and his lads , can't wait wait for next weekend to try out all my new toys. in terms of cost i think its a bargin.a day at the cricket £140 a pop rugby £6o, tickets to the wimbedon mens final £4000 a pair . take the missis out for a curry and afew ales your not gonna get much change out of £50. every year i go i'm busting with new ideas and an even longer list of "must haves". great to see some of the "experts " up close and personal. reassuring to see so many people turn out in support of what we all love . THE GREAT BRITSH COUNTRYSIDE.
  4. although the shooting season is still a long way off , i don't know of many keepers who would refuse some free labour around their shoots , there's always an endless list of backbreaking jobs to do . it's very much a case of scratch mine i'll scratch yours . don't expect results straight away, they're going to use the time to "get to know you " but it should pay dividends eventually . After three seasons beating on some local shoots, not only have i got myself some permiisions ,made some good friends but have tapped into a wealth of knowledge that comes from years spent in the countryside. maybe after ten seasons i'll be asked to make up the numbers on a driven day ( dream on !!)
  5. now that's what its all about .nice one Malk .time for a follow up adventure ?
  6. on all my local pools they go nuts for lunchoen meat. put a short length of grass between the meat and the shank or the hook will rip thro if you casting any distance. (sorry , always telling me grannie how to suck eggs !!) wish i was going, little un just come down with the pox staying at home baby sitting .look foward to the pics
  7. hey shropshire john you could try horse and country .tv online . its a channel already on sky but the web site has online vidoes to watch. there was one on clay shooting basics last time i looked might give you a few pointers before youre lesson. its money well spent . learn to do it right before you pick up lots of bad habits . i had a few lessons at minsterly ranges up at the bog no posh people there !! just a good bunch who couldn't do enough for you .(much cheaper too)
  8. thanks to all at PW having spent several days pouring ouver the forums diegesting all and laughing a lot i took the plunge scuonged a bit of gear ( deeks and abit of netting ) off to my local permission and had the time of my life popping a few woodies . who have been hell bent on ravenging the fresh drilled cover crop. can't say i'll ever break any records or clays !!! but this is seriouly addictive . thanks again for all the questions ansewerd and tips you've given without even knowing it! i'm sure i'll have lots more to ask most of them stupid but you know what they say the only stupid question is the one you don't ask.
