  1. ITV + Ant & Dec + Vote = we've been here before.
  2. Not a direct answer, but if you must go wireless then you need to be security aware. You must use encryption and it must be WPA/WPA2. I know someone who is a keen hacker, he can bust any WEP key in a few minutes, and a short WPA key in under an hour, so use a longish key 24 digits+. If you use POP email you should know that your user ID's and passwords are broadcast in plain text.
  3. Usual media stuff, and on the same day they carried the story of the young unprintable who was convicted of murdering that Polish lass in London with a prohibited handgun. Funny how the media is determined not to notice that licensing and outright bans simply don't affect the dregs who are the problem. I suppose they don't want any of us to have any sort of gun for any reason, and they've been getting their way so far.
  4. I take it you mean the Miroku? Then we are men of exquisite taste and refinement! I bought mine s/h in 1989 from International Firearms in Essex, and I have never even considered changing it. I had gone through a string of guns, a Lanber, a Beretta, a Remmy 1100, another Beretta, none of them felt right to me. The Lanber and Berettas taught me what a pain in the proverbial multi-chokes are, the Remmy taught me that sharp machined edges cause sudden loss of blood. The shop was advertising a Laurona I fancied, but when I picked up the Miroku I knew this was the gun I'd been looking for. I had to negotiate a trade-in with the owner Graham, who was on business somewhere, and that was the first time I ever spoke to someone with a mobile phone. Thanks for the welcome!
  5. Welcome to the forum, even though I hate you for getting loads more welcomes than me! I'm in Scotland, which is only 76 miles from South Africa.......... Do you have to licence a shotgun in SA? Is it for one gun or a shed full? Tell us everything.
  6. Jolly good luck to you. I would say keep it short, keep it sincere, and don't try to be the comedian unless that's the natural you.
  7. I've met young Scots who angrily insist they are not British, and I'm sure all the folk around here (except me!) would describe themselves as Scottish if asked their nationality. For whatever reasons, the idea of a British nation is gone forever, and I regret that. On the thread topic, if I believe that people from here have a right to go and settle elsewhere in the world, then I must believe that our door is an entry as well as an exit. But just as I expect that emigrants will be supporting themselves and contributing to their new country's economy, I expect that immigration should be on the same basis. The East Europeans, and I have worked with a few of them, seem overwhelmingly to be here to work, and those who settle should be an asset. But we do not need to import bludgers or criminals, for we produce a bountiful home-grown crop and have the tax levels to prove it. End of rant from old ***!
  8. Just joined this forum, saying hallo. I'm in north-east Scotland, have a Miroku 600 and a fine old Russian hammergun. Doesn't say Baikal anywhere on it, but that's how it's shown on my cert. Edit: How could I forget my trusty AA Pro Sport, fine machinery that is.
