  1. Well done matey. Take loads of pictures as they get big quick. My youngest is Alice, now 7 and without the pictures and vids, well, memories can blur. Your babe looks lovely! Carbon
  2. I could have done that. But. This forum has new members all the time as well as some that may object to such things. Normally I would place the muzzle next to the brain box and ease its suffering with no doubt at all!!! I did this vid as a mixy is bad just ease its suffering vid. In hind sight had I had a partner with me, a better vid would have been placing the muzzle next to it and stopping its suffering straight away. With vid or not, personally I would rather not stamp on a rabbits head. A long heavy stick across its head would have been a very quick dispatch. I wanted to show something part humane for an animal diseased. I was on my own and this was what I managed. I dont think the rabbit felt much and I am sorry if people think other ways. As said, when the camera is not there, It might be more vicious, but they go quicker. Sorry for any grumblings Carbon
  3. free standing and blowing a gale. At the time of the shot note the cross hairs become still on the target. 15 m distance.
  4. I dont like seeing Mixi in rabbits. Here is one I helped on its way. A nasty horrid way to die. I hope this was a cleaner way to go. Tuesday last week. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylimOyhAQ_E Carbon
  5. Jumping Jezzus. How can I live without technology? U tube is alive again and I can start breathing. Yes I know I am sad.
  6. Hello all, I have done something to my U tube account on and off subscription. When I search for another vid it searches then simply stays in the same screen that was shown before the search. It wont show any results. I can search straight from the google link but not when in U Tube itself. Anyone help with this? Carbon
  7. U96 - Das Boot music. Excellent. Carbon
  8. Thanks for that Spaniel, I note the general Licence - 'Licence to kill or take certain birds to preserve public health or public safety' at address - http://www.naturalengland.org.uk/Images/WM...7_tcm6-7671.pdf This I note as the mess is quite disgusting and is plastered across the window screens of various tractors. I note section 5 of this act, and need to check that my permission owner has tried trapping. If he has and it is ineffective, I believe I would be OK. Going to check with him in the next few days. Top Job there Spaniel and thanks for the link. Something I should have viewed before! Carbon
  9. Hi all, Anyone know the link to the listing of vermin/pests? I have a permission owner wanting me to rid him of a colony of birds in a barn that are making a nasty mess on his new'ish, yet very expensive farm plant. He considers them to be a pest and approached me with this request. Far as I can tell they are white doves/pigeons and please note, I will never take any down until I know I am within the Law. Some shooting legal advice required please. Thanks Carbon
  10. Good vid there Samw. Now please a vid on brest removal and frying with bacon. Me any my boy are looking forward to this so get you into the kitchen pronto Sam. Carbon
  11. Rabbits do kick for a short time before they realise they have passed this world. Bit worried about you crono results. Have you a rifle FAC license? If not I would lock away your S410 until you get it de tuned to about 11.5. Carbon
  12. Hi all done a vid of a my prefered method of using an Ultra Multi shot. Please excuse the snorting into the mic. Lesson learned for the future. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrPDvNLmTxQ...re=channel_page Carbon
  13. The Ultra is a very good rifle, excellent for barn areas. Also good for grassland rabbits. Many prefer the feel of a longer rifle which will give many more shots. I am lucky lo have a couple. AAS410, Webley Longbow and the Ultra. The Ultra just seems to fall into a nice hold every time. The AA gets the long distance shots and the Longbow is fun. Love them all but the Ultra just seems to get those head shots. Carbon
  14. Well done clubb, 6 and a bit is fine as it would have grown to being fast reproducing beastie. I think my current largest is 19 and a bit inches, my smallest is as yours. Good shot there and well done. Last night I had my head under an old transit van in a barn, throwing grain at three full grown ones and they couldent care less. The do when I lay down 15 meters away Carbon
  15. Cheers mate, he also gets quite nasty if someone treads on his spuds at night. Apparently. Carbon
  16. Well I suppose many have seen the tweed post so I visited my dad who had a tweed hat. Visited a permission owners property and bagged 3 rabbits nibbling his veggi patch. Then onto his barns with the NV. 3 woodies unlucky enough to settle in his grain barn - all with head shots in the rafters. 6 rats down but only collected one as the rest were in very poor collectable areas. Have also posted a piccy of last week where a rat got a third red eye from the same barn at 25 m. Happy shooting all, be safe. Carbon
  17. Good bit of work there, looks sweet Carbon
  18. What about a figure 8 mount? Some are very cheep off flea bay. Like this one; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/8-figure-dual-hole-m...%3A1%7C294%3A50 Carbon
  19. Here is my origional link. http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/ind...201&hl=camo But BEWARE. This is a long process to do correctly. Wear powder free gloves to avoid any finger traces. ALLOW time for paint to dry. Poly Matt coats can and WILL blister your work. So final matt coats, start very light with the first and allow 48 hours to dry before further coats with at least 24 hours. Your rifle may look quite glossy but the poly matt protection final coats will stop this in its tracks. I used Monster Matt spray but would have preffered Krylon matt ones. Remember you will have a painted gun and no amount of Poly protection is going to stop any scratch against a wall or rocks! Look after your unique masterpeice, with handling and a good gun bag. My AA S410 is due for camo in the next couple of weeks. By altering the base colours you can get more woodland or more grassland. Practice first on carved peices of wood and take notes. I did and you should!!!! I did some right shockers, but you can easily redo the stock yet this means starting again. Have fun Carbon
  20. I have an FAC 'friend' who I consider to be an out and out nasty killer af anything unlucky to move in the land. He believes he has put down a fox with a logan penetrator with a non FAC rifle - WITH A HEART SHOT!!! I dont believe you should consider any shots to such an animal as a fox with a sub 12 air rifle. Look at it through the cross hairs, practice stalking but never take a shot that will probably wound, cause infection and a slow death. Us non FAC air gunners need to look after ourselves as well as the wildlife. Dont bring scorn and hatred upon us. Rats, rabbits, crows, squirrels and woodies to name the main ones. We have enough pests to look after without these larger lovely animals that require a definate stronger shot. Carbon
  21. And for all thats - Bu-gg-er not the rude version begining with an 'F' in my last post. Sorry for any mis conceptions. Carbon
  22. Steve, I was just glad to do my permission owner proud with some bunnies down. Good shot there with your rifle, I am just looking through my green envious eyes of your HMR. You ******! Carbon
