Biggest would be anything with 220 Russian as the parent case. So PPC etc, as for deer legal, well 6.5 Grendel makes the grade, and if an off the shelf option is more your style then 7.62x39, but you will have to hand load for it, deer legal with the right powder and bullet, but only with top end loads. If 4000 rounds kills an hmr then there would be many of them scrapped. My Annie had over 12k round down it and was getting better results than when new. If it worn at crown and chamber it is all down to cleaning rod damage. Neil.
