update ... well i went to a bsa forum meet today tryed defiants after id bin round with jsb pellets wished i had tryed them first on pinking range ... i hit every thing i aimed at + i didnt even need to change my zero today in the wind .. at 50 yards they get blown abit but 35 40 yards there spot on i will test when i get chance .. ie when i get a pump or bottle sourted ... but got buddy bottle filled up want to see how they are hunting with more soon bet the heavy weights are good in fac

get your self to a good gun shop try a few for weight , size , feel .. fit + have look through a few mags make list of rifles in your price range then try them in shop . you might find the one that you like best does just not feel right thats what i found went to a shop hoping to buy a s410 .. then decided on a bsa s10 just felt right balance ect

a 12ftlb rifle will take rabbits at 55 yards .. but it depends on pellet , ie does it carry enough power to the target .. and how hard is your pellet ive done a few tests and found that some pellets might be good but at distance they just dont have the penetration .. , ive just switch my ammo to a bullet shaped brand and now find at 40 yards it will go straight through a rabbits head ...

well got up today drove to work , got there no one had opened the gate .. now normally i would park in the customer parking till top gate opened up but my boss sent a memo round saying if we keep parking in the customer parking we can stop using our cars to go to work lol now its 4 miles to work lol ... so i thought i will go up farm for 20 mins then come back ... so got to farm as its about 2 - 3 miles just past work looked 10 pigeons on barn roof ferials so could not help it i got rifle out crept round back of barn stepped out of cover bang down it went defiant pellet in the chest , next one landed on corn silos thinking wheres me pal gone bang down he went ... all the other pigeons went landed on other side of barn but looked at time thought id better go to work . lol arrived 10 mins late ... well there fault lol

bsa superten looks good, shoots good , made for a long time . was bsa flag ship rifle . now bsa have only just replaced it with the r10

got droped at farm about 10am went straight to barn aimed fired down a ferial went . others flew of . so headed up to wood stalked through wood got within range of lots lots of wood pigeons , stepped forward crack bloody twig all flew away ,i was gutted lol . so headed back to farm went down bye the ducks ,chickens .. rabbit ran i watched waited for him to stop but he didnt , into trees he went i started to walk fast down track to see if i could see him when i heard some thing above me .. tree rat so i left the rabbit , followed tree rat till he stoped it was one of them straight up shots i missed then he moved again all in all i fired 3 times missed .. 4 time i steaded my breathing aimed, he had moved so he was leaning out over trunk fired got him head shot , he hung on a little then fell out of tree down into leaf litter , i picked him up pleased ...... then wife rang said shes on her way to pick me up ..... i would post a pick but not sure if im aloud ?

welcome mate . nice rifle mate , ive got the mk 3 bullbarrel carbine .22 just had her to jb for blueprint , silencer upgrade get some letters out to as many farms ,golf clubs , horse stables ect ya never no you might get more than one ... good luck

im never selling my blue printed s10 bullbarrel carbine .22 its just to good ... if i had the cash i would buy another but in full lenght ,fit bipod . then fac it up i just dont like the bolt cycle at the back ..

heres my first test of defiants didnt clean my barrel .. fired ten then did this few that are out may of been me ,it was windy + i was frozen .. my rifle is zeroed at 30 yards with jsb . i aimed at bull to give me some thing to aim at then fired ten shots i ran out of air so more testing soon ... dam the pump lol traveled all the way to gun shop yesterday but he was shut. yet his answer machine said he was open lol got to wait till friday now to get air fill + buy grease or oil for pump seals ...

hi just found your great forum . ive been shooting since i was 13 then i had a webley mk3 , then later when i had a job i got a lightining now aged 33 have got a bsa superten bullbarrel carbine .22 , blue printed by john bowket + had the bullbarrel upgraded so now even more silent ... i hunt every day if i can , every weekend . in the summer i go at dinner and at night in the week + weekends i love hunting my job during the day . im a mechanic for ford .. nice to meet you all , cant wait to start posting steve
