Hello &

Who takes their certificate with them and who leaves it at home?

I allways carry a Photo copy of my Shotgun/FAC, insurance & authority to shoot on the land i'm on. i find that if when i'm asked for proof i have all documentation. the person will realise that i'm not just some cowboy and that i'm a professional and mean bisness -
good idea mate. that's why i'm on my second wife as the dogs and guns came first. I can't afford to repeat it again. very costly

yes mate, guns are a good investment. only thing is the longer i don't shoot the more chance i have of losing my access to some else and when i re-new my license i lose my caliber and have to sell. Andy

Hello, Fellow shooters. I have a rifle which i have not used in a long while for one reason or another and i'm not sure whether to sell it and invest it in something else or hang on and hope things pick and i get out more with it. The Rifle in Question is a CZ550 American 6.5x55mm swiss with a S&B 6x42, Harris bi-pod and A-Tec can. i have been working too much lately and can only manage short bursts either Clays, Pigeon or vermin shooting as stalking sucks up a weekends free time i don't have. the wife finds me little tasks to occupy my spare time. Any suggestions? Andy

Hello, i have been thinking about getting a new dog for a while now. i saw a jack Russel crossed with a beagle. it was only 8 mths old but looked like it had some work in it. i like pigeon shooting, rough shooting and i also do a lot of beating with a sprinkling of wild fowling. does anyone think this sort of cross would make the grade. Andy

hello, mate i go to Fennes its a very good site. it has 15 stands working on a card system. you collect it at the desk and pay when you return. 27p for a clay (non-member) 22p for a member. 100 birds cost about £47 (shells & clays) hope this helps Andy

andy9308 replied to andy9308's topic in Talk From The Field
yer your right mate, think i need to get knocking. i had some land dotted about but due to work i couldn't get out as much and lost access also lost access to payed shooters as i was doing it for free. -
Hello, does anyone shoot pigeons on Mersea Island. I've never seen so many birds they even got a mention in our local rag. just as you cross the strood there's a slabs worth of pigeons, also at the bottom of Dawes Lane. so if anyone interested and has shooting rights but is stuck for an extra gun, give me a shout i'm keen to get out! that go's for anywhere in the Colchester area as well.

Hello mate, I have a benelli M2, in Timber max 4 fitted with Comfort-tec. I've had it for a few years now and it's NEVER let me down. i use it for everything form rats, sqirrals, rabbits to Game& Wildfowel. i take it Clay smashing as well. best thing is there's no Gas parts to clean just pull though with a boar snake, jobs done. the Zombie Killer is the dogs nadds. once you've shot one there is no going BACK.
