Groan indeed...but not as bad as my last week when I went to the zoo. All they had to exhibit was a dog. It was a Shih Tzu. Knarf, knarf

A couple of weeks ago I went down to my allotment, and discovered someone had put about 2 inches of fresh soil all over it. I was perplexed but let it go. I went back down there last night and found that someone has done it again, and there is another 2 inches of fresh soil The plot thickens...

Advice for buying spares from the US (including gunbroker or Numrich)
ste replied to ste's topic in Guns & Equipment
Thanks for your replies guys. Cheers too Gary, will PM Iain as you suggest. Fancy a beer sometime? -
The ejector in my Winchester Ranger 140 semi auto (basically the same as the 1400) has sadly broken :-( I've found one option with a retailer called Numrich: http://gunpartscorp.com/catalog/Detail.aspx?pid=236300A Sad news is it's $30 plus shipping, plus a $25 export handling fee for the trouble of living in the UK. Alternatively, I've found one on what looks like a auction site: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=218878596 Unfortunately the seller doesn't ship internationally. If anyone has any advice/experience in buying spares from our cousins across the pond (or knows somewhere in the UK I should try), I'd be very, very appreciative. Cheers all, Ste

A quick way to an early grave if you ask me. They're full of chemicals, I steer well clear

I too suffer from Raynaud's syndrome, and what a pain it can be...and I'm only in my mid twenties! I wear leather shooting gloves with a pair of glove liners by Icebreaker (not the cheapest but goot kit). To be honest, my hands do still sometimes get cold but I think it does a pretty good job. Not tried them but the heated ones might be worth investigating. Generating heat might work better than trying to hang on to what's left in your fingers. I know some exist for skiers too.

I always think that with any matter like this you should just give your FEO a quick call, I know mine would be happy to answer any questions and would probably appreciate being kept in the loop

PM Paul Hart: http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/ind...E=4&MID=406 He might be able to help you

I bet that's thigh burning stuff to walk around! No 4x4 to take there myself sadly, it was just curiosity having seen a load of mucky trucks heading home on the A6 one week, then a defender pulling in to the entrance a week later. I dread to this what it'd be like after all the rain we've had, perhaps you'd need one of those London Duck Tours vehicles to get round!

You can get away with wellies all the time, as I do, but thats because I have no other choice at the moment! I saw a pair of aztrek brasher boots in TK Maxx for around £70, not bad if you ask me. Plus they had some karrimor's with vibram soles for a tenner less. Wellingtons and waterproof leggings are a good combination.

I should've just sent you a text!

Has anyone been to / know anything about a place I've seen a few muddy 4x4s exiting from off the A6 between Luton and Barton-Le-Clay? Google maps location: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=51.955771,...5_w&split=0

I'd recommend you at least take a few mins to consider the HTC HD2, it's got a mahoosive 4.3 inch screen and 1GHz processor (can't believe phones are already this fast) amongst other things. You'd be hard puched to beat a blackberry if you email/text loads, but the HD2 should be tip top for browsing t'internet.

Congratulations! I'd have to go with jonno's suggestion of making her dinner for 25 years! That or buy her a handbag / other generic gift for women

Being skint, it doesn't seem like I'd have the option anyway! Cheers for the info though, the helice seems like quite a novel idea (says the newbie)

Anyone tried one of these crazy things? Heard about them on the weekend (Sunday morning when hiding from the rain!) The comment by the narrator at 5:32 made me chuckle name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">
