  1. been and come back weather is aweful just like your attitude I will go for a deer in the morning instead
  2. just thought I would share my experience with Riflecrafts copper remover, after trying most if not all the cleaning products over the years Iam truely amazed at this stuff. I had a demo of it at tyhe Newark show and I was sold,I bought there cleaning rod and jags which are not bronze so they dont weep blue onto the patch which gives a false reading. well I gave my 7mm a good going over with it today and the copper it shifted was amazing, I would highly recomend trying some if you like to keep your rifle shooting right. just to say I have no afiliation with riflecraft just sharing my experience of a great product. try some you will be amazed
  3. as usual reverting to insults, when you havnt anything else to say, typical key board warrior
  4. Iam thinking the same,I have one on the way I dont mind the fox its the **** it leaves that my pup rolls in and the stink of it **** around my gate
  5. sorry to disapoint you as it seems you follow me around like a bad smell to "try" and get a rise, unfortunatly Ive been around a long time to get upset by words spouted on the internet by faceless key board warriors. I actually thought you had found a sence of humour with your last comment I did find it really funny, but your getting very very boring and again ruining someone thread. well done you should get out more, its doing you no good "stalking" me,Iam flattered but your not my type anyway got to go off out shooting "again",not sat in all night thinking of something to try an upset people
  6. now thats what I needed to read, many thanks
  7. now thats funny,if you wasnt such a tit i think I may like you b ut you are
  8. turn the record over mate ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  9. yes mate, but dispatching a fox held in a snare isnt really shooting is it,muzzle held to the back of the head. quite true
  10. yes you should be sorry, now grow up you should go and read my first post again, but very carefully instead of flyingf into a rage to try and pick holes that just isnt there
  11. a fox that keep messing in my garden
  12. to set snares around your garden ??
  13. no one can really answer your question if they did it would only be a guess, just put the board out and see where it lands
  14. says nothing apart from I had a great time unlike some who constantly sit bickering on there PC looking for argumnets that just arnt there Gixer you fail,to grasp "accuracy kills" you or I, well I owe it to what we are shooting at to place a bullet in the vitals. accuracy in the field is no diiferent to accuracy on paper if you havnt got a stable rest you dont take the shot, well responsable shooters wont. what is a "practical limit" ?? I think I started a thread on "whast your comfort zone" a while ago and 99% agreed "its what your confident with" so Gixer just becasue you not confident at 400 yards doesnt make it wrong for someone who is. the bench mark for a hunting rifle is 1 MOA or under for lets say "practical limits" so anything over that needs work and I wouldnt take into the field, but thats me. you seem to be very "hung up" on people who can shoot beyond "your confort zone" or is it you just dont understand what a modern firearm with taylored home loads can do. your getting so boring with your little digs Iam sure if i said black was black you wopuld say it wasnt instead of ruining a thread like the loads of posts thats been already removed which were all probably a dig at me,why dont you add something constructive
  15. arrived at my mates estate at 2pm,went long range vermin shooting out to 500 yards after went to sit for a deer at dusk but the fog rolled in from the east coast so couldnt really ID for a shot so time to pack up and go for a ******,watch a little TV then went out rat bashing with the semi autos on the back of the bike as visibilty was ok up to 50 yards got back home 1 am and saw a fox sneeking through my hedge, probably the one that ****s in my garden and my pups rolls in it now thats having a lot of fun and still beinmg able to produce sub 1/2 groups on paper, time now for bed.
  16. thats the best advice I have ever seen you post, well done
  17. I think you and your chum Gixer should go and re read my post very carefully,as you seem to be "trying" to pick holes in something that isnt there "again" as to 500/600 shots on the lamp Gixer pray tell where does it say anyhting about that ?? you really do have a serious attitude problem,I would go see someone about it
  18. first thing is "dont get yourself worked up about the target" tell your guide you have very little to no experience with a C/F rifle he should understand and allow you to be comfortable in taking your test shots just relax breath and enjoy, dont get pushed in rushing a shot make sure you are 110% happy
  19. yep seen a dead one on the road tonight plus a keeper where I pick and load dug a set with cubs ready to be on top, spoke to a mate from kent a week ago who had shot cubs on top
  20. the area would be helpfull, also remove your number incase of antis mate
  21. I would say you havent given the correct advice to a newbie C/F shooter, whilst Iam not going to say you need a clover leaf at 100 yards what you do need is consistant accuracy of some kind, and telling someone this group is OK at 1 inch high is totally irresponsable,as where is the bullet going to end up past 100 yards ???you or i cannot say,the only way to know is put it on paper. so no this group isnt good enough to shoot anything live espeically not a munty,as they never stand still and miss hit they cabn quickly disapear into the under growth, even saying "you can get another shot into a fox" thats just plain stupid,we as hunters owe it what ever where shooting at to kill it cleanly, hence the need to be able to place an accurate shot into any animal for a 1 shot kill. the correct advice would be to find out what the rifle likes, then parctice, practice and paractise a bit more before attempting to kill anything we all have to start somehere but starting of on the right track is most important instead of listening to "it will do" best of luck to the OP but take your time, dont rush out to try and kill something get the basics right it will make you a better shooter
  22. set of 4 265-75 x 16 Maxxis Buckshot Mudders, these have been on my Hi Lux for exactly 1 year and are less than half worn theres over 1/2 of tread on them, awesome tyre in the mud and hold well on the road. Iam doing alot more road miles now so need something less aggressive £200 the set, there still on my truck at the moment if anyone wants them i will get them taken off and my new ones fitted,
  23. I wouldnt take the above advice untill you find out you like deer stalking,as its been mentioned book a day with YDS as hes in Yorkshire, has a lot of deer and will show you the basics. But before you do that read up as much as you can about deer there is loads of info on the INTERNET which will help you then at least your not going into this totally blind. if you decide you enjoy it your firearms dept may insist on you taking level 1,again there is a massive amount of information your can learn off the INTERNET towards passing it. do as much research as you can mate, then when you go into the field then at least you have a small idea on what to expect or at least you will be able to identify and sex a deer good luck
  24. simple answer shoot them your well within your rights, but first tell the owners if they escape and bother the sheep they will be shot and they will be billed for any sheep they have kiled
