  1. what ever makes "you" happy and obvioulsy your incapable of executing the longer shot
  2. Ahh I see just listening to the video footage you pointed at the rear end where the dog was pulling at saying that was the entry, matters not its still dead,Oh I didnt say gut shot I said rear end shot, you can clearly see the rear end callapse first
  3. you seem to have a serious problem with long range, what about mistakes at short range they do happen and a lot more than long range, look at the latest YDS video on here the deer was hit in the rear at quite a short distance no matter what scope you have driver error is the main issues
  4. was it shot in the rear ?? if it was a shocking shot, hope he paid for the meat
  5. why wouldnt a dead deer be sucessfull ?? I wouldnt have thought the shots were unsafe or the AW would have failed him.I have shot with foxhunter 1 many years ago (wasnt going to mention it) and he can find and kill deer
  6. what a load of rubbish sounds like the guy wanted more of your hard earned cash, you shot 4 so prooving your capabilities, even if you cant do it all in one day which is rubbish you would have thought he would have put them down over 2 days, its no skin off his nose only a loss to his wallet
  7. whats its got to do with you Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm nothing so butt out
  8. I can understand turning down a shot due to safety BUT I though it mattered not the sex or in or out of season, provided you stalked, identified then said BANG when a suitable shot was presented, then go back at a later date to do the dirty bit with a knife if they had deer hung in the larder
  9. if you shot 4 in the same day all done correctly, why wouldnt he accept them ??
  10. did both 1 and 2 many years ago, always use gloves
  11. a bit of muck on a carcass isnt going to make any difference,I knew a chap years ago they called him "gut shot Ken" he carried a roll of kitchen towel with him to clean out the carcass, young man Ive been out with many a pro stalker (I use that term loosly) who open the beast get there bare hands in pull, out the guts rope it up and drag it back,

  13. as i said earlire I was out with a butcher last weekend,we were talking about meat and what to do with it,he said they hang a rib joint untill green (for there own consumtion) trim it off and cook it.now I ve been told a few time by a few butchers best way to treat a steak is to leav it in the bottom of the fridge untill black and your finger sticks to it,then it ready to eat,I will say again far far to clinical nowerdays,no wonder out emune systen is messed up
  14. what Iam saying is once passed just like the driving test the rule book goes out of the window,I know no one who carries water and soap in a proper stalking enviroment apart from to drink, you might around the parks incase big brother is watching I like my steak medium to rare do you get paid for culling for NE or do you help out someone that does,as I know chap who gets paid also why do you alwasy try to turn things into an argumnet ?? are you not able to have an adult debate, man I bet your a bundle of laugfhs down the pub :o
  15. just because someone has level 1 and 2 dosent make them a better stalker,it just means they have passed a test,as to thje food chain, yes i love meat, how it arrives on my plate matters not to me as it would have been cooked, cooking basically kills all germs, you should nip over to Africa mate and see how the meat is handled overe there, still tastes great and iam still alive, you want to see butchering in the field mate, this is doing it BIG time dont tell me whats right and whats wrong people do what they need to do under the conditions there in,like no one will waste a gut shot beast,a good wash out and its fine,as I said far far to anal nowerdays. but you do what you want
  16. all this meat hygiene has got far too anal,as long as it aint contaminated with green and its been bled there isnt a problem,at the end of the day the meat will be cleaned when processed,I was out with a butcher the other day and he said meat is best left untill black and sticky before cooking, and you imagine that wrapped in cling film in Tescos
  17. what if you have 2 down no matter wht you say you wrap it in,its still being dragged over ground so will still get contaminated, unless you seal your sheet up and then the carcass will sweat which as you know is much worse than a bit of dirt on it but anyway we do what we do
  18. got I nearly spat my warm milk over the key board
  19. total bull mate obviously you have had it easy.what do you thionk people did before argos and quads, and dont say pony,as there a rare comodity.
  20. OK your on the hill 5 miles out,you shoot a 15 stone stag, you get your hand washing kit out,put your gloves and arm protection sleeves on,you set about the carcass with your clean knife, once its done and the guts are out, remove your gloves and sleeves, wipe you knife and hand with wipes, put it all away in your back pack then what happens ?? you have to drag the damm thing up and down through sheep ****,bogs, heather and all manner of contamination. yep level 2 we all do it by the book
  21. what powder ?? if using Vit 160 as I adviced 47gr will do the job nicley
  22. the simple answer is "ring round and find out" BUT the cheapest may be the furthest away and with the price of fuel no real saving
  23. clean it with acetone (nail varnish remover)
  24. you may get and increase in velocity, also before shooting them you need to clean your barrel back to the metal as moly coats your barrel, persoanly I would take them back, your gun shop should have told you what moly does and how to use it
