As the others have said, leave the badgers well alone.
You would be better off shooting them or if the situation is right you could try longnetting or snaring, both can be very effective.

looks like a nice gun you got there mate. a good find. They still use a more modern version of these combination type guns a lot in france and probably the rest of europe, as they do mostly rough shooting and like to have the option to use rifle or shotty on the various quarry they shoot out there. IMO the bottom barrrel has almost certainly been converted from a large caliber rifle.
