  1. I could not catch the game live last night, so watched a replay, only for 20 minutes that was enough, bring back Terry Venables or give the job to Harry Redknapp..!

  2. I know they're not the most expensive or attractive manufacturer, but im more than happy with my Lanber. Before i got it,i tried quite a few O/U's at various shops and wasnt happy with the fit,but this one was perfect.Yes its fixed choke (1/2 & 3/4),but it patterns well with no holes and has 3" chambers should i ever need them.Unless something drastically goes wrong-i cant see me getting rid of it.

The Escort-well-its a reliable pigeon gun and thats it.Looks a bit too militaryish for my liking in black plastic, but it does its job well and was cheap.

The Nagant is a Russian cannon and rattles the fillings out of your gob! :whistling:

Very much the same here, Lanber and an Escort, Wish list - Caesar Guerini 34" Maxum - Benelli SA

  3. I'm with Cat, have been involved in 'retail' (not guns) I am convinced manufacturers have some 'arrangement/agreement'.

I have not been shooting that long, but have noticed the steady increase, and excuses...on cartridge price increases, I do though, still can find a deal on light loads for the 'Kid'.

One way to drive prices down would be to avoid certain manufacturers, play one off against the other, but as we all know that would never happen.

  4. It's the Marmite syndrome...love them or hate em, I brought a new LH Escort, I did look for a SH LH Beretta as 1st choice, the Escort has not let me down, came with 3 years warranty, they are a bit rough n ready, bit of a 'procedure' to clean as with all gassers. I only use mine for rough shooting.

  5. I went to see my permission owner last night, just for a social and let the lad do some plinking, my permission owner has just equipped himself with a HW-77 to deal with Pigeons coming into buildings, he has also had good success on the Rabbits, so off we go in the Landy with the HW set up for lamping, after a while down at the Rabbit runs sure enough 2 red eyes appear and I take the shot.Turned out to be a cub, never done lamping with an air rifle, it's usually a 410 moderated and we move around the land. I am going to look into FAC air rifles.

Sorry for naff pic, only had my phone camera.
