Yeah...Tell me about it,my company is out sourcing maintenance, and we have contractors turn up with their 'generic' paperwork regarding method statements and risk assessments, and then go off and ignore every regulation. I am not looking forward to the day I find a dead contractor on site, then the bodily waste will hit the rotating appliance big time.

I run a Water Treatment Works and a Carbon Reactivation plant,it is shift work but with loads of time off, and I am a part time bird controller on land fill sites.

Just to clarify about 'lead water pipes' most water utilies add orthophosphoric acid before the water goes into supply, this constantly 'coats' lead pipes to stop lead contaminating the water.

Me personally..I use 28g-7.5 / 28g-8 for clays, my lad uses 21g-7.5/24g-7.5 for clays (these 'lighter' loads are cheaper to buy)
30g-6 / 32g-6 / 34g-5 for game, as for prices, it does seem to vary from region to region.

As for chokes - I use 1/4 & 1/2 for clays, and 3/4 for game with my Semi-Auto

' Why do you wish to own a Shotgun' was really the first question I was asked, which the stock answer is 'Like to take up Clay and Rough Shooting' which led to talking about the lessons I have already had, and the Clay grounds I have visited, which ended up having a long and very nice discussion about guns, cartridges, mounting, eye dominance, guns smiths, other clay grounds, rough shooting, a talk about security, I had 'upgraded' my security prior to the visit, and already had a cabinet installed which I was using for my Air Rifles, my FEO was satisfied I met all the 'criteria' and was pleased to issue me with a SGC, he also offered to ring me when my SGC was ready so I could go and collect from the Firearms Team about 4 miles from me.
Basically, you have to show 'good reason' to own a shotgun, the FEO on his/her visit will 'sound you out'.

Caesar Guirini Shotguns

I have been using a loaned Caesar Guerini Maxum 34" for clays. I would say the build quality is as good as anything in that price range, it is very well balanced, I still can not believe how 'swingable' this gun is for a 34" barrel, my clay scores have gone up since using this Caesar.
