I went for the first time the other day... What a good time, the ferrets enjoyed themselves too. We only managed to get 4 because there were far too many holes for my 10 nets... I will have to get some more before I get out again. My little jill, seen here with the first 2 didn't seen to tire all morning, however my cob, asleep in the box seemed to lose interest after some work. The warren's are along a hedgerow and difficult to expose without causing too much damage. The hedgerow is about 500 meters long and it's very difficult to identify separate warrens. They all seem to intermingle all the way along. My next attack will be with alot more nets and more ferrets, I think the rabbits gave them the run around below ground. Any tips would be welcome.

Will be testing it out this week. Got a Mk3 finder and 2 collars and a load of nets. Not forgetting the spade... The varnish is an attempt in making it weather proof

I had a go at making a ferret box the other day, I looked everywhere for some plans but had no joy. This is what it turned out like. I used 9mm ply and held it all together with PVA glue and panel pins. The strap is an old seat belt and fixings, it's not adjustable at the moment, but I'm working on it... Finished it with 3 coats of antique pine varnish. The wife says she's glad I'm finished, so I can get on with some decorating... :blink:
