  1. I use the Deben ferret finder mk3. They are a bit expensive but if you look round you will find them cheaper... Definitely worth investing in 1. If you look hard you will get a coller for about £35-40. They sometimes turn up on here. Look here- http://www.deben.com/field_sports/ferrets_...et_finder_3.php
  2. I understand where the rifle is, I spoke with Ray yesterday afternoon and he was happy to RFD it. I was going to talk with him last night with an offer when I was pipped to the post. Hey, can't win em all.
  3. Blast! If the deal falls through with piglet I'm next in line...

    Harris bipod

Hi all, I missed out on the earlier sale on the forum, so thought if anyone has 1 to offer I would be interested. A genuine Harris bipod, 9-13" swivel type with notched legs.
  9. A PB with this 12lb Barbel from the Dorset Stour.
  10. Hi Elvis, I hope you have him sorted out now. I use Xeno 450 on my ferrets, it's like front line, a topical spot on. But designed to be used on ferrets. The problem with front line is you have to be careful how much you use, it can make them ill. The advise to dab it on the ticks is sound advise.
  11. Hi, ferrets can be kept as pets, there are plenty of people who do. As far as letting them roam, they would definitely disappear unless you made your garden ferret proof. When mine are in the garden I always watch them.

What mileage is on it and how much will you be asking? I don't think I can afford a 57 plate tho.

    L200's

I'm liking the look of the L200's not the new shape tho. I've always wanted a 4x4, and have promised myself 1 when my old faithful dies. It wont be a post 56 plate as I would feel sick paying the road tax. I've been keeping my eye out for a while now, and found a few being offered stating they have had new engines fitted. Now at 80k that alarms me. I read somewhere it was down to inferior alloys used in the cylinder blocks, that was sorted by 06. And also remember something about big end bearings disintegrating. Can anyone please enlighten me what the issues are with the L200's before I splash out? A few hints on what to look for at a viewing would be appreciated too. Thanks in advance.
  18. I'll take it. PM sent.
  19. Take a look here farmer... http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/ind...howtopic=128358 I don't think he is too far away from you either.
  20. Yes, I had drain pipes in there for a while. But they kept slipping on the shiny surface. I will be upgrading to the flexible type of drainage pipe, it is ribbed and flexible so you can change it about so they don't get bored. As for toys, they will play with anything but cat toys are good. Tom, I will be upgrading to welded mesh soon.
  21. Hi Colin, I made a variation of the design on this website. I made mine with 2 levels though, a bit more room for them to run about. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/ferreter/housing.htm I'll try and get some pics on later.
  22. My ferrets are workers, they have never bitten me or anyone who has helped. They are great with my 2 year old son, who squeals with joy when they play with him in the garden. They make great pets and are great at rabbiting, as it comes naturally to them. I have a hob and a jill that are both neutered, so don't smell too much at all. People shouldn't make comments about things they know nothing about, especially if it's to put others off keeping such great animals. I would say go for it when you are ready. You wont regret it. Even if you only work them occasionally.
  23. Good mornings fishing, well done.
