it could be dirt behind the exhaust valve, with the extra pressure 200 bar sealing it tight and then when the pressure drops to 160 bar it starts to leak slightly. I serviced a RWS excalibre for a mate very similar to the fx 2000 that had a slight leak and all it needed was a full strip down a good clean and new 0-rings then it was 100%. also adjusted it's power from 10.5 to 11.5 FTLBS.

Hi there I'M using a 24 inch barrel to get that velocity which is only a mild load. they are many that can get 3800 3900 using 55gr & 58gr heads, we are ok her in this area to use 6mm for vermin, fox, Deer. I know a lot of areas that don't allow 6mm for vermin though.

why not go for a 6mmBR uses less powder then a .22/250 with nearly the performance of the .243. super accurate, case seem to last forever some of mine have had 12 firing and still going strong, will shoot 75gr v-max @ 3300+ FPS or the 58gr v-max @ 3600+ fps and great for vermin, foxes , and Deer. don't get me wrong a .22/250 is a good calibre but the 6mmBR is better and I wouldn't like to change back to a .22/250 after using one for 13 years.

the 58gr v-max in my .243 are seated 60 thou off the land but still produce great accuracy, I know allot of reloaders who reload there ammo to saami spec and get very good accuracy.

Hi there as already stated reloader 7 is to fast for the .243 and is the ideal powder for the .222. if you want to use 58gr v-max in .243 try varget , vit140 or reloader 15. I've tried allot of different weights in my .243 and like the 58gr v-max but everybody to there own.

Glad you got your load sorted with the Blitzkings, I had the same findings with my .243 when using 58gr V-MAX doing 3900 fps and got the same POI as the 87gr V-MAX doing 3300 fps.

not if they can shoot one hole groups at 200 yards there not.

Robert hoppe shot a five shot group with a 6mm dasher at 600 yards group size was 0.579 using varget powder and 105gr A-MAX . Sam hall shot a five shot group with a 6mm dasher at 600 yards group size 0.686. these groups were shot in competition under pressure no doubt they have shot many sub .500 at 600 yards on the test range.
